To place bids in an auction, you must first register by clicking ‘Register for Auction’ on the catalog or item page. You can also place absentee bids in advance, which automatically submits a registration request if you’re not already approved.
Auction houses typically approve registrations within 24 hours, but since each house has different criteria, we recommend registering early in case additional information is required. Once approved, any absentee bids you placed will be active.
